About CEDA Kitchen installation and project management, including plumbing, gas and electrical supplies and building works such as new floors, walls or ceilings

Mission Statement

CEDA's mission is to encourage and assist members with training, advice and support to operate profitable businesses recognised as delivering the highest standards of service and value for money; and to recruit new members who aspire to these ideals.

CEDA continues to serve its members as a trade association, with the major emphasis on sharing information between members, covering subjects as diverse as government and hygiene legislation, business management, engineer training and technical matters such as changes to gas and electrical standards.

Training and standards

CEDA works with CESA (Catering Equipment Suppliers Association) to develop industry training and standards, particularly for the Catering Equipment Engineer.

CEDA has also worked with consultant members of the FCSI (Foodservice Consultants Society International, UK & Ireland chapter) to help establish MSc courses developed by the Catering Education Foundation. Many FCSI members will only recommend CEDA members to their clients for the supply and installation of their kitchen design projects.

CSFGOur sustainable future

All three trade associations – CEDA, CESA and FCSI – came together to help form the CSFG, Catering for a Sustainable Future Group in March 2006, to develop ideas and initiatives to promote energy savings and sustainability in commercial kitchens. The CSFG therefore enjoys unparalleled support from right across the UK catering equipment industry.
