Peter Kitchin, CEDA Chairman, welcomed the delegates

John Scott of First Choice Catering Spares (a CEDA Platinum Partner) recounted the progress made by First Choice in their first 10 years of operation and told delegates of future plans

Duncan Yellen

Dr Duncan Yellen of F-Gas Support explained the reasons for the recent introduction of the F Gas regulations, what they covered and most importantly, what options were open to catering equipment distributors

Paul Philips

Paul Philips of Water Regulations Advisory Service gave delegates a progress report on the Approved Catering Installer Scheme

Phil Burnett

Phil Burnett of Energy Utility Skills explained the government driven initiative to improve training and qualifications in the gas industry and also outlined EU Skills' involvement in working with Gas Safe Register

Jamie Cooper

Jamie Cooper, Technical Support Manager of Gas Safe Register reported on the first 6 months of the operation of the new registra and also explained future plans

Peter Golding

 Peter Golding, Managing Director of Fleetcheck, outlined the responsibilities of any fleet operator and explained the services that his company can offer

Jerry Clark

Jerry Clark, Service Manager of CEDA Member Gratte Brothers and member of the CEDA Technical Steering Group reported on the progress that had been made in introducing an accreditation scheme for service engineers which he hopes will be established early in the new year.

Blackburn

George Sedgwick and Graham Aspinall of Blackburn College outline the fast track course for ACS accreditation for both experienced engineers and new starters and also introduced their new gas catering engineers' apprenticeship scheme.

Richard West

Richard West of RWA drew upon his experience of working in Formula 1 and outlined lessons that could be learned from that industry and applied to other businesses.
