Sales enquiries from the private sector are performing well for many ceda members with nearly 56% reporting better levels of enquires in their last quarter ending in April compared to the previous quarter to January.

Appeal for Real Junk Food Project Manchester Mobile Kitchen (Mon 22nd May 2017)

CEDA Member CHR Food Service Equipment has asked CEDA to help get word out that it is looking for industry-wide support to obtain a wish-list of commercial catering equipment to support the launch of the Real Junk Food Project Manchester’s plans for a café and restaurant. Not-for-profit Real Junk Food Project sources food that would normally go to waste, cooks it into amazing meals, and serves them to anyone on a pay-as-you-feel basis. They aim to stamp out food waste, campaign to make access to good food fairer and more sustainable, and support some of Manchester’s most vulnerable residents.

CEDA Cements Strong Connection with HostMilano (Fri 12th May 2017)

CEDA has agreed a formal alliance with HostMilano, one of the foremost exhibitions for the international hospitality industry, with the next edition taking place 20-24 October 2017. As part of the agreement CEDA will act as the official platform in the UK promoting Host for the next three editions of the show.

Course for Safe Electrical Work (Tue 2nd May 2017)

CEDA Partner First Choice Group’s Combico UK has developed a Commercial Catering Equipment Electrical Competency Course (CCEECC) in association with CEDA and CESA, and is offering discounted places on the course for employees from CEDA Members.

CEDA Stronger North and South (Tue 18th Apr 2017)

CEDA’s new Chairman Mark Kendall had the pleasure of announcing the appointment of the two new CEDA Regional Chairs at the association’s recent Annual Conference. WilcoxBurchmore’s Managing Director Cathy Wilcox was voted to take on the Chair of the Southern Region and Kirstin Hatherley, Managing Director of Hatherley Commercial Services, was also voted into the Chair position of the Northern Region.

We have our 22 by 2022 strategy already delivering across all our activities from our brand and profile to online training and technical support and I know our two new regional chairs are 110% behind the strategy and will be invaluable in its successful outcomes,” comments Mark Kendall, CEDA Chairman.

Talking about her appointment as new Chair of CEDA’s Northern Region, Kirstin Hatherley, says, “I would like to thank the members for electing me as Northern Region Chair and I look forward to seeing them at regional meetings, and a big thank you to Chris Keith for his service as Northern Region Chair over the last two years. 

“I hope that we can further promote and enhance the benefits for members which will have a positive impact on our businesses, along with raising awareness of CEDA.”

Adding to this, the new Chair of CEDA’s Southern Region, Cathy Wilcox, says “WilcoxBurchmore have been members of CEDA for almost three years and enjoyed the benefits it brings – meeting other quality-driven professionals in our industry is so valuable, and the conferences helps to keep our knowledge bank up-to-date. It is with great pleasure that I take on the role of Southern Regional chair and my objective will be to continue to engage and encourage existing and new members to attend regional meetings and get involved.”
