CEDA Launch Source@ For Operator Questions (Tue 11th Oct 2016)

CEDA has launched an online enquiry service called Source@CEDA on its website aimed at operators, and anyone with a stake in foodservice, who has a specific business enquiry, or just a question or information request.

CEDA Members’ Confidence Validated (Thu 15th Sep 2016)

The latest survey of business confidence among CEDA members shows that their previous optimism regarding sales to July has been born out. The previous survey to April found that 53% of CEDA members felt that the next sales quarter would be better, and in fact almost 60% now say that sales in this last quarter to July were better than the previous quarter.

Ecodesign – What’s in a label? (Fri 9th Sep 2016)

The impact of the European Union’s Ecodesign Directive for energy-related products is being absorbed following implementation from the start of July, plus the added complication of the UK vote to leave the Europe. The timely Gram Go Green webinar in July picked this topic to consider the implications, and clarify points around, refrigeration and potentially other commercial kitchen equipment. Hosted by CEDA partner Gram UK’s managing director Glenn Roberts the panel included: CEDA member representatives Mark Kendall from Inox Equip, Peter Farrell from C&C Catering Equipment and Richard Smith from CEDA member Bunzl Lockhart.

CEDA and HETAS Seek Foodservice Industry Comment on Burning Issue (Fri 12th Aug 2016)

CEDA together with the Heating Equipment Testing and Approval Scheme (HETAS), CEDA Partner First Choice Group and S&S Northern have been working together to produce a guidance document covering best practice in the safe installation, operation and maintenance of solid fuel powered foodservice equipment and are now asking the wider industry to comment on, and input into the guidance.

Optimism for Next Quarter from CEDA Members (Mon 6th Jun 2016)

Despite some reflections of global economic uncertainty in the UK economy and the impact of the UK’s forthcoming EU referendum more than 53% of CEDA members who took part in its latest Confidence Survey suggested that they expected the next sales quarter to July to be better that the previous three months.
