CEDA Conference Gala Dinner and Awards Evening

CHARITY RAFFLE
Peter Kay, CEDA Director introduces the raffle which ultimately raised over £9000 for Claire House Hospice on the Wirral.
CEDA Chairman Peter Kitchin was so touched by the video about the hospice that his company C&C Catering Equipment made an additional contribution to raise the amount to £12000

INDUSTRY PERSONALITY
Peter Kitchin made a witty speech to introduce the industry personality award.  The top picture shows a handsome young man (the one on the screen, not the chairman!) who it was later revealed was Rod Callaway.  Rod has organised the CEDA Conference for 24 years so this year's event was his 25th and the audience showed it's appreciation of his work wiith a long ovation.
As the organiser, Rod keeps a very watchful eye on all aspects of the proceedings, so it was no mean fete to surprise him with the award.  He had been told by CEDA Council that they had decided not to present an award this year and Tony the MC commented that shortly before the actual ceremony, Rod was annoyed to find that the menu still showed one in the order of proceedings.  He was saying that the menu was wrong.
